How to Style Your Booties

I don’t know about you but I love booties. I still wear my regular boots but my booties have taken over as my ‘go-to’ shoes for every day. They’re just so darned comfortable! I frequently get asked how to style booties so here are a few tips to help you out.

Show some skin between the top of the bootie and your pants. I love rolled up or frayed jeans, or cropped pants with booties, especially if the booties have some hardware or other embellishment.

A bootie in a lighter color or skin tone will lengthen your legs. They look cute with skirts or dresses too.

If you don’t want to call attention to your legs or booties, wear them with tights that match.

Or, conversely, wear your booties to stand out – with textured tights or socks or both, or maybe with a contrasting colored tight. This is a great way to express your style personality if you’re up for it.

To go really bold, wear colored or embellished booties. When you wear a statement bootie, they become the star of your outfit. You won’t need much in the way of other accessories. If your bootie is tighter fitting around the ankle, try weariing a wide-legged, cropped pant. If the bootie has a wider opening, you can wear slim-fitting or skinny pants and they’ll fit inside the bootie.

Booties are the Star

Has one (or more) of these ideas sparked your imagination? Just writing about it has made me want to style my booties a bit differently. Thanks for reading!
