Spring Trend Favorite – #2

I recently shared one of my favorite Spring trends here and now I just have to share another favorite, especially because I didn’t think this particular trend would be something I would actually enjoy…until I did. Sounds a little confusing I know, but here we go.

I’m just loving pastel pink this season! I’ve never been a pastel kind of gal, but this shade snuck its way into my life and now I’m a fan. It actually started a little over a year ago when I bought a drapey blouse in this color. I wasn’t sure at first if it was a wise purchase, but then I found myself wearing it more and more. The one I bought was INC brand at Macy’s. Here’s a similar one:

Also about a year ago I picked up the cutest little pink capri jumpsuit to wear to our niece’s bridal shower. The brand was Asos, which I’d never tried before. Since it was so reasonably priced I had my reservations, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality when it came.

I guess both of those purchases were a little ahead of the trends, but we’re now seeing blush pink everywhere. This pink handbag by Sole Society (which is now available at Nordstrom too) is lovely; at a price of $59.95 it is very affordable and is well-made considering the price.

You’ll notice some shades of pink are so light as to be almost a nude – which is very flattering to the skin.  This color dresses up or down beautifully – I love how it looks paired with gray in a casual outfit.

With our (mostly) temperate climate in California, this is something I can incorporate into my wardrobe year-round. It plays well with white as well as black. How about you? Is this a trend you’ll be wearing this Spring?

Thanks for reading!
